Sunflower: Body Benefits
Body benefits
Why sunflower helps
What is in sunflower, and what those nutrients and plant compounds do in the body.
Phytonutrients
Sunflower greens rank among the most antioxidant-rich young greens studied. In a comparison of 8 sprouts and 5 microgreens, sunflower showed high antioxidant capacity across three standard lab tests, driven by its phenolic compounds.
Micronutrients
Sunflower microgreens bring vitamin E, zinc, and healthy fats, plus protein and crunch. Zinc supports immune function and tissue repair, and vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant, which is why sunflower appears in all ten of our Med Packs.
