Wheatgrass: Body Benefits

Body benefits

Why wheatgrass helps

What is in wheatgrass, and what those nutrients and plant compounds do in the body.

Phytonutrients

Wheatgrass builds antioxidant compounds as it grows. Total phenols rise steadily from grain to sprout to young grass, and wheatgrass extracts carried 1.38 to 1.67 times more phenolics, flavonoids, and vitamin C than barley grass.

Micronutrients

Wheatgrass is rich in chlorophyll, potassium, and magnesium. In one comparison, wheatgrass juice powder had more potassium and magnesium, and more chlorophyll, than pulse-shoot powder. That mineral and chlorophyll profile is why we use it in our liver, bone, and recovery blends.
